The Singapore Life Guard Corps (SLGC) has been a registered charity and a voluntary community service organization since 1950. SLGC remains the oldest water-based voluntary group dedicated to open-water lifesaving work and in the education of the public on open-water safety. This firmly positions SLGC as a landmark in Singapore’s maritime history.
